The week before spring break, I went to the restaurant to shoot some B-rolls on Wednesday with one of my friends. We got some decent footage of which the restaurant was running.
I was planning to shoot the interview on Friday, but I did not expect the cage closed on Friday so I was not able to borrow the lighting kit, which is crucial to the interview setting. Therefore, I had to cancel the interview schedule on Friday before the spring break.
One of the current difficulties in this project is always scheduling. Since the restaurant is open only in a limited time plus my academic schedule, the only time that I can go to the restaurant is Wednesday noon and Friday night. Venus, who is the main character in this documentary, and Adam, who is the restaurant owner, are quite busy. Therefore, it is hard to schedule with them.
I will plan for interview shooting this week or next week and do a rough cut when I get the interview down.
