It takes me quite a long time to get the very rough cut since I have so much footage, which can last 3 hours. It takes so much time to filter each footage, watch them over and refine them over and over again. It gives me a lesson that I need to plan better in the pre-production so that I do not get too many useless footage, which takes time to film and especially to edit.
I have a plenty of fine B-rolls, but the interview for Venus is not ideal in terms of focus, lighting, background. Therefore, I decide to reshoot Venus’ interview. I will contact her this week to figure out what time she is available for this extra interview. By the way, Adam’s interview is great.
I have developed quite a good relationship with Venus and Adam, so I think Venus will be fine with me for an extra interview. Then, I will assemble footage again and polish it for Monday.
