I guess I don\u2019t even know what I don\u2019t know about it. I understand that ultimately all forms of currency only have value because we assign it to them, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around how bitcoin or any crypto currency for that matter, has any value whatsoever. I recently watched the documentary <em>Banking for Bitcoin,<\/em> in hopes of better understanding the world of crypto currency. I found the documentary to be very interesting, although I don\u2019t know if it succeeded in what it was trying to do. I say this because I still don\u2019t understand the subject it was supposed to teach me about. I think therein lies an important lesson that all of us can take away in our own documentaries.<\/p>\n<p>That lesson is that we have to always be mindful and aware of our audiences, and furthermore the message that we want our audience to take away. It can be extremely difficult to anticipate how to disseminate a particular idea, or how someone will react to a particular story, or method of storytelling. Nonetheless, it is our duty as filmmakers, especially documentary filmmakers, to do our best in this endeavor. I am somewhat disappointed that this documentary didn\u2019t give me the knowledge to get rich quick off of bitcoin, but oh well.
